The Last Key

Rinchhen Tamang

Grade : 10 'Bhotekoshi'

In the bustling hub of the Valorant Protocol, where agents gathered between missions, there was an unassuming corner of the headquarters often overlooked. It was a small storage room, filled with old equipment and dusty relics from previous missions. Tucked away in a forgotten drawer was a peculiar item: a rusted key with intricate engravings. No one knew what it opened or why it was there.

Phoenix, the fiery duelist with a knack for uncovering secrets, stumbled upon the key during a routine cleanup of the storage room. He was cleaning out old crates when the glint of the key caught his eye. The engravings on the key resembled ancient runes, and Phoenix, with his penchant for adventure, felt a spark of curiosity

“Looks like we’ve got ourselves a mystery,” he muttered to himself, slipping the key into his pocket.

He showed the key to Jett, the agile and sharpwitted wind user. “This doesn’t look like your average key,” Phoenix said with a grin. “Wanna help me find out what it opens?”

Jett, always up for a challenge, agreed. They decided to enlist the help of Cypher, the surveillance expert, who was known for his knack for finding hidden things.

Cypher’s investigation revealed something intriguing. The engravings on the key matched symbols found in old archives of Radiant history-symbols linked to a forgotten research facility rumored to be hidden beneath the city. According to legend, the facility was said to house powerful artifacts and technology that had been lost after the last Radiant conflict.

With the coordinates pinpointed, Phoenix, Jett, and Cypher set out on their mission. They arrived at a seemingly abandoned building on the outskirts of the city, concealed by overgrown vegetation and shadows. The building’s entrance was heavily fortified, but the key fit perfectly into a hidden lock, revealing a concealed elevator that descended into the darkness below.

As they descended, the atmosphere grew tense, filled with the hum of ancient machinery and the echoes of forgotten secrets. The elevator opened into a vast underground facility, illuminated by the eerie glow of dormant technology. Old consoles, relics, and a massive, sealed chamber lay before them.

The chamber’s door was locked with a sophisticated mechanism that only the mysterious key could unlock. With a deep breath, Phoenix inserted the key and turned it. The chamber door slid open to reveal a room filled with advanced weaponry, experimental tech, and a large console at the center

On the console was a digital interface that activated as they approached. The screen flashed with an encrypted message and a set of coordinates. Cypher, using his expertise, worked quickly to decrypt the message. It revealed a series of locations across the city where more of these ancient technologies were hidden

As they explored the facility, they discovered that it wasn’t just a relic of the past. The technology had potential to revolutionize their current gear, offering new enhancements and capabilities for the agents. Phoenix and Jett realized that the key had led them to a significant breakthrough that could turn the tide in their battles against the enemy forces.

They reported their findings back to the Valorant Protocol. The artifacts and technology were carefully studied and integrated into their arsenal, giving the agents a crucial edge in their ongoing fight to protect the world from the growing threat of the enemy.

The key, once a forgotten relic, had unlocked not just a hidden facility, but a new chapter in Valorant’s ongoing battle. It symbolized how even the smallest clues could lead to monumental discoveries, and how curiosity and teamwork could unveil the secrets that lay buried beneath the surface.

And so, the key was preserved as a memento in the Protocol’s archives, a testament to the adventure and the unyielding spirit of the agents who sought to uncover the unknown.
