The Compost Master

Walter, the earthworm, gathered his friends around him to explain the art of creating a compost bin. The challenge for the best compost in the city was on, and they were determined to win.
“So, guys, here's what we need,” Walter began, his voice filled with enthusiasm. “First, we need a container, a large one. We can use an old bin or even build one using wood.”
Soy, the centipede, nodded in agreement. “I can help with that, Walter. I'm great at digging and finding construction materials.”
“Perfect, Soy! That's exactly what we need,” Walter replied, smiling. “Now, we'll also need some organic waste: kitchen scraps, coffee grounds, and yard waste will work great.”
Zow, the sow bug, chimed in, “I can gather the kitchen scraps from my farm, Walter. And I'll ask my friends to do the same. We'll have plenty of organic waste for our compost bin.”
Walter was pleased with the team's enthusiasm. “Great job, Zow! That'll surely help us. Now, we also need water to keep the compost moist. We'll have to make sure it's not too dry or too wet.”
Andy and Sandy, the ant twins, nodded in agreement. “We ants can help with that, Walter. We're experts at carrying stuff and maintaining moisture levels. We'll do our part.”
Walter beamed with pride. “Awesome, Andy and Sandy! That's perfect. Now, we need to turn the compost regularly to ensure proper aeration. A little bit of flipping and stirring every few days will do the trick.”
As they discussed their roles and responsibilities, Walter couldn't help but notice something off about their opponents. “Guys, I heard rumors that the other team has something wicked planned for us. We need to stay alert and be prepared for anything.”
Soy raised an eyebrow, concerned. “What could they possibly try?” They broke the container on the second last day,” Walter replied, grimacing. “But let's not let that discourage us. We'll overcome any obstacle they throw our way.”
The team huddled together, determination shining in their eyes. They worked tirelessly, gathering materials, building the compost bin, and adding the organic waste. They had to fix the broken container, but their spirits remained high.
On the day of the challenge, they proudly presented their compost bin to the judges. Despite the wicked plot against them, their compost was thriving.
The judges announced the winners, and to their delight, it was Walter and his friends. The team celebrated their victory, knowing that their hard work and resilience had paid off.
As they basked in their accomplishment, Walter turned to his friends and said, “This victory belongs to all of us. We came together, faced obstacles head-on, and emerged victorious. I couldn't be prouder of our team.”
With wide smiles and a sense of accomplishment, the friends reveled in their success. They had not only created the best compost in town, but they had also strengthened their friendship through it all.
