It is the year 2040 and the Earth is in the brink of existential crisis. Scientists are looking for a new planet to live on. They are already sending test subjects to Mars to ensure the living of mankind. On the other hand, Billy and his Friends are having a huge leap forward in their life.
Billy and his friends from high school started a company which produces industrial goods and gunpowder. Their intention was to open industries, so no one is unemployed and can run their family, but in doing so it has created havoc worldwide. Initially the plan sounded perfect. Few years go by and the company, started by a bunch of highschoolers, is now the number one manufacturer of industrial goods and gunpowder. It does come with a catch, the ideal factory also releases tons and tons of carbon dioxide, methane, asphyxiant and other hazardous gasses to the atmosphere.
The locals are frequently reporting to the authorities about health issues which is an outcome of Billy’s monster of a company. Even his friends and colleagues are warning him about the situation, however, greed takes over Billy and he turns into a full blown narcissist and buys the full ownership of the company. Now he runs the company all by himself and he is not bothered about the situation and does not seem to care about others lives.
A few decades pass by, the locals have all moved to a different part of the world. Acid rain occurs almost every year. Billy may be the richest and most powerfulman in the world, but he has created enemies and lost ties with humanity. His son now suffers from the disease caused by the shockwave of the company. Billy is now finally starting to realize what he has done. Shortly after the demise of his son, Billy is faced with a dilemma.
The state of Earth was so bad that it could not be reversed. Billy is submerged in grief, the very thing he created to help the world now is armageddon. One after another everyone leaves Earth and moves away to Mars. Billy understands his mistake, but it’s too late. Grief is a luxury no one has time for.
