Chapter 1– Video Games all day!
"Oh no!", Jackson screamed. Jackson is a tenyear-old boy. His father is a well known businessman in the city. Even though Jackson had everything, he was very lazy, addicted to video games and slept late at night.
"Jackson! Wake up son. It's time for school!", said his mom. "Hurry Up!" his mom yelled again. Jackson did not listen and after a few scolds from his mother he finally woke up and got ready but he was already late.
His school van arrives at 8 o'clock in the morning but it was already 10.
Chapter 2– School
Jackson arrived late at school. "Why are you always late?!" Ms. Smith scolded. Ms. Smith is the class teacher of his class. "I am sorry...", said Jackson. Even though Jackson attends classes, he is always sleepy and does not focus much on his studies. He could only focus on his games and coding. Besides games, he had a keen interest in coding. One month later....
It was his exam day but he had not studied anything. “If you do not study how will you pass the grade?", said his mom. "I will study after I finish this game mom.", said Jackson.
He went to school the next day without studying anything for the exam. He went to his class to give an exam and saw that his seat arrangement was an easier place for cheating on the test. However, he did not care and failed the exam.
Chapter 3– Glasses
After he finished his exams, he played video games all day. He played 24/7 so, soon his eyes started to hurt. "MOM! MY EYES!! It hurts!!", Jackson cried. "It is hurting a lot mommy!", he cried again.
His mom took him to an eye hospital. "How long do you play on screen?" asked the doctor. "24/7, all he can do is play games," his mom said. "You must not play video games for that long or you will have to wear glasses", the doctor advised.
"No, I won't. I will look like a fool if I wear one", Jackson disagreed. Even after protesting, Jackson had to wear glasses due to his poor vision.
Chapter 4– Teasing and Realization
After getting his glasses, he went to school the next day. "Look at him! Jackson looks like a joker! Hahaha!" his friends started laughing. "Ha Ha…!!" was all he could hear so Jackson cried and went home. "Mom, everyone is teasing me at school." Jackson said sadly.
“You play video games all day. Even after the doctor had told you not to play. You will have to minimize your addiction soon." Said his mom. "I cannot mom." Jackson cried. "If you want to heal your eyes then you have to delete the game. "His mom told him lovingly. "Okay mom," he said bitterly.
The next day...
It was the 1st of April and he wanted to celebrate April fool's day by pranking his friends. He coded and made his friend's gaming account to show "Your account is deleted!" but it was not actually deleted. However, he made a mistake and actually accidentally deleted their account. His friends were mad at him. Jackson apologized many times but they didn't listen. Nobody talked to him the whole day. He then went back home and coded tirelessly throughout the night. He successfully recovered their accounts. All of his friends. were happy. At that point he realized that he loves to code. After that he focused on studies in school.
Chapter 5– College
8 years later… After successfully finishing his school, he studied Game development Course in College. There, he made a best friend named Mike. They both played games and made games. One day, his friend betrayed him. He sold Jackson's game to his enemy and partnered with him. Jackson was really sad. He said "Why?" with a bitter voice. He worked for 10 days to make that and he felt even more hurt because of Mike's deed.
During Summer break, Jackson went to his hometown to attend his father's second wedding. His parents divorced when he was 16 years old. Congratulations Dad!" Jackson cheered. "I am also married. Why aren't you congratulating me?" His stepmother said, being annoyed, "Congratulations to both of you." Jackson said. After the ceremony, he lived with his dad and stepmother. His stepmom did not treat him well. She did not even hesitate to tell him that she will not pay his college fees after taking his dad's money.
Jackson was not a frail kid so he complained to his dad about his stepmother. "So, this is her true color "Dad gritted his teeth angrily. They both decided to catch her red-handed so they devised a plan. Jackson's Dad pretended to go to his office but he hid in the house. He then recorded all the cruel things his wife was saying to his Son "We are going to get divorced!". He yelled at his wife.
Chapter 6– New Beginning
After getting a divorce his father decided to stay at home and take care of his kids.
3 years later... Jackson graduated from his college. He decided to return to his house because his father was very sick. His father passed away after a few days. Jackson was heartbroken. Now he had nothing. His father's house was taken over by his neighbor and his father's business also went bankrupt. Also, after Mike's incident he has not been able to get back to coding.
After struggling, he found a job at a restaurant. He worked hard every day and everyone loved him except Jake. "Gosh, I hate Jackson. He is always favored by the manager!" Jake said it in his mind. "Hello, Mason!" Jackson greeted his restaurant manager.
Hi..." Mason said with no expression. Jackson, you're fired!" Mason said angrily. "Why?" Jackson asked. "You spread fake stories about this restaurant. I didn't realize you're so cruel!" Mason said angrily.
"No, I have no Mason. This all is not true!" Jackson protested. "I have the proof!" Jake said from behind.
This is when Jackson realized that Jake was behind this. But he couldn't do anything so he left the restaurant feeling sad.
After leaving the restaurant he tried finding a job but nobody gave it. He started crying on the side of the road. "Why are you crying?" a person asked. | am poor and I have nothing now" Jackson cried. "What are you good at?" That person asked "I used to code games and my friend betrayed me. Now | have nothing" Jackson said sadly. "Then make games. Do what excites you" the person encouraged.
That word from the stranger motivated him. He got an idea for making games. He worked tirelessly to finish the game. After months of hard work, failure and sleepless nights he finally completed his work. He named the game "Stumble Guys" and launched it. It grew in popularity quite quickly and gave him fame and success. He bought a house ultimately and lived happily with his family.
Jackson later shared his story to people around him and that gave inspiration to many others. He went on to help people who were struggling with bad habits and inspired many to change their lives. True success comes when we control bad habits and follow our passion with discipline. Jackson did not have overnight success, it was cultivated along with time as he decided not to give up on his dreams which ultimately paid off.
