Position Overview
The Teaching and Learning Coordinator at Imperial World School Nepal is a senior pedagogical leader responsible for the strategic oversight, alignment, and enhancement of the academic experience. This role ensures that the school’s vision and mission are seamlessly integrated into day-to-day classroom practices. The coordinator drives instructional excellence by managing curriculum mapping, overseeing diverse assessment models, and leading robust professional development programs to foster a culture of inquiry-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Leadership & Mapping

Curriculum Integration: Design and maintain a comprehensive curriculum map that aligns the Nepali National Curriculum with international best practices and the school’s educational philosophy.

Instructional Vision: Actively promote and embed inquiry-based learning and student-centered pedagogical strategies across all grade levels.

Standards Alignment: Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of the curriculum to prevent learning gaps and ensure a logical progression of skills.
Assessment & Data Management

Assessment Frameworks: Develop and oversee a balanced assessment system, including formative, summative, and standardized testing.

Data-Driven Instruction: Analyze student performance data to identify trends, inform instructional adjustments, and support curriculum review.

Quality Control: Monitor grading consistency and reporting standards to ensure accurate reflection of student progress.
Teacher Development & Monitoring

Professional Development (PD): Design, coordinate, and facilitate internal PD programs that equip teachers with modern instructional tools and research-based techniques.

Classroom Observation: Conduct regular, systematic classroom walkthroughs and formal observations to monitor the quality of teaching and learning.

Mentorship: Provide timely, constructive, and meaningful feedback to teachers, supporting their professional growth and pedagogical refinement.
Schoolwide Collaboration

Mission Alignment: Ensure that daily teaching practices reflect the school's commitment to holistic development and global citizenship.

Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with Department Heads and School Incharges to synchronize academic goals with co-curricular activities.

Required Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university

Experience: A minimum of five years of current, full-time experience in an administrative or leadership role (e.g., Coordinator, Academic Head, Vice Principal) within an educational setting.
Communication & Collaboration

Parent Partnership: Proactively engage with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and well-being through regular communication and parent-teacher conferences.

Professional Growth: Participate in regular professional development, peer observations, and collaborative planning meetings to stay current with global educational trends.
Required Qualifications

Curriculum Expertise: Demonstrated familiarity with the Nepali National Curriculum and international frameworks (e.g., IB, Cambridge, or IPC).

Proven Track Record: Experience in curriculum mapping, assessment design, and leading professional development for staff.
Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree: M.Phil. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Educational Leadership.
